I've become more
fond of memories that I have had on campus. Some of
the most meaningful self-reflections came to
me while walking around
campus after midnight on One University Dr.
written June 2008 -- "In the rain we stood. His lips brushed my cold cheeks and he held me close.
'I never knew how salty the taste of rain is.' " For The Memories I Sleep to inspired by the summer
rains in the SW Florida, written during a time when I was torn between composing and filmmaking.
written December 2007 -- Kuru Kuru Team -- Written for the Student Festival held on January 30, 2008
in hopes of reaching out the SUA students with one message: now is the only time to create the
greatest moments of our lives, to one day look back on them and smile.
written August 2007 -- Much of what we communicate to people is not what we actually say to them,
but what is communicated through the absence of words. This is also intended for Dear So-and-So.
written July 2007 -- Trailer music for a film I'm still writing a screenplay for about a lost notebook and
its anonymous writer.
written August 2006 -- Kuru Kuru Team -- Written during college orientation for the Talent Blast. Lyrics
by Kelly Gochomoto and also accompanied by Chelsea Schwartz on acoustic guitar.
written April 2006 -- This piece was in the making when I decided that Project esCAPE should be
more than just a book, but a motion picture. Even through the hardships, the characters will always
find a resolution and make it through.
written November 2005 -- In a place where tree hardly shed their leaves, I created this piece on a
windy day when tree branches waltzed with the breeze and the shadows danced on top of crisply dry
grass.
written February 2005 -- Recovering from a depression, I wrote this in hopes of finding some light in
my life, even if it meant the fading setting sun.
written May 2004 -- Unlike much of my later pieces, I have a second title for this piece, which is a
simply a direct translation in Japanese: タンポポのように (Tanpopo no Youni). The Japanese title
presents a more uplifting image of dandelion seeds floating off into the endless sky.
written May 2002 -- First piece I wrote after incessantly remixing Pachelbel's Canon in D a million
times on my synthesizer. Never defeated spirit as my time in middle school ended.
